TURNERYTHE BLANK TRAYDOCKET

Blanks for the engine

0.0001 A BLANK, ALL OF IT TO THE POT OF THE HOUR

Every dial with work in it is turned from a blank. A blank is bought in a transaction of its own, one to ten at a time, and the turning that follows asks no coin. A dial commissioned outright needs none. Blanks stay in your tray and never change hands.

Every dial holds a reserve, and every wei the atelier takes after a dial is made fills the reserves of the dials before it, by the tenths each was paid or worked. Royalties go to every dial alike. A reserve goes with its dial; its holder draws it at will, and the dial keeps filling.

Agreed between the house and every hand that works the engine. The contract holds all of it and no one can change it.

IThe turning

A dial is sixty passes of the cutter. Your browser finds them, with everything your machine has: the graphics card first, and every core that makes it faster. Each pass lights one mark of the minute track; at sixty your wallet opens by itself and the dial is yours in one transaction, complete. It draws power and warms the machine, goes on behind other windows, and stops when you leave the page.

IIThe climb

Every dial is finer than the last and never cheaper. Up to 600 the work is light; from 600 to 1 200 it climbs steeply; beyond, it is fine work for strong machines. Waiting never pays.

IIIThe commission

Any share of the price can be paid instead of the work, in tenths: every tenth paid is six passes fewer. Ten tenths buy the dial outright, at once.

IVThe blank

Every dial with work in it is turned from a blank. A blank costs 0.0001 ETH, bought in its own transaction, one or ten at a time, and goes to the pot of the hour. The turning that follows asks no coin.

VThe reserve

Every dial holds a reserve. Every wei the atelier takes after a dial is made fills the reserves of the dials before it: of every commission, forty-five in a hundred to the commissioned dials, fifteen to the turned ones. Royalties go to all the dials alike. Draw a reserve when you like; the dial stays yours and keeps filling.

VIThe hour

Every blank bought in an hour and a tenth of its commissions make the pot of the hour. When the hour is over, one dial turned in it strikes the hour: a block that did not exist when the hour closed picks it. The pot goes to its reserve, and the dial bears the hour for good.

VIIThe engraving

The holder of a dial may engrave it once: a monogram under the name and a line of twenty-four places in the bezel. It stays with the dial, whoever holds it next. A dial engraved for someone else is a gift.

VIIIAge

A dial counts its days from the moment it was turned, whoever holds it, and grows complications in blued steel: small seconds at twenty days, the date at forty-five, the moon at seventy, the power reserve at a hundred.

IXThe heat

Every dial you turn heats your cutter by a bit of work; it cools by a bit every ten minutes. It slows one bench, never the room.

XThe house

Thirty in a hundred of every commission go to the house, in the same transaction. There is no owner with powers, no pause, no upgrade and no withdrawal. It is a pyramid: the dials made early take from every dial made after them, and it says so here.
